Come up and see us!

Create@48

After hearing about the success of the Manor Farm Silver Scheme, Walsall Council kindly invited us to ‘set-up shop’ in the centre of town by taking over a prime retail unit in the shopping mall and ‘sell our wares.’

The Create@48 Unit is an empty retail shop inside the Saddlers Centre and is available for community groups, council departments, emerging small businesses to use the unit to give them a High Street presence in Walsall Town Centre. It really is a ‘Pop Up’ shop to showcase services and resources that local people really need.

John Burnett who works with the Town Centre Management Team at Walsall Council, said, ‘It’s a great way to meet people who can benefit from a particular service and we know the great work undertaken by Manor Farm Community Association can only benefit from raising their profile in this way.’

Our staff and volunteers will be armed with posters, leaflets and lots of freebies on Monday 8th and Wednesday 10th July and will be on hand to meet and greet people who could benefit from the wide range of services we offer between 9am and 4pm.

Manor Farm Community Project Co-ordinator Diana Southall said, ‘We are really grateful to John and the team at Walsall Council. This is a lovely opportunity to meet people in Walsall and get the important message across that there is something for everyone at Manor Farm. We are the largest voluntary community centre in the borough and have nearly 40 years experience of delivering services that people of all ages need – leisure, sport, art and education, in fact just about everything!’

So … come up and see us some time!
