Lights, Camera ... Action!

Following an invitation to appear on the Carl Chinn show on Radio WM, the staff at Manor Farm probably has stars in their eyes as they have now been asked to participate in the local Walsall Housing Group promotional video.

Whg is one of the largest and most successful providers of high quality housing in the West Midlands. Owning and managing around 19,000 properties across Walsall, the housing group provides affordable, good quality homes and community-based services to local people. They house almost 40,000 people, which is around one fifth of the borough’s population!

Manor Farm CA are proud to be associated with whg and work closely in partnership to achieve many of the same well-meaning aims. They are committed to capturing the passion from customers and colleagues to work together to transform the quality of life in our Walsall neighbourhoods, striving for excellence in all that they do.

Whilst not exactly a feature film, the promotional video features staff, volunteers and local people – all benefiting from services and facilities funded by whg and in partnership with Manor Farm. The filming was great fun and it really was ‘Lights, Camera … Action!’ as we tried not to ‘hog the camera’ and stutter our way through the lines.

Since 2003, whg have invested over £350 million in Walsall homes and have developed a range of services that go beyond the traditional role of a landlord. In fact, they own a staggering 19,000 properties and work hard to make sure that they are well managed and maintained so that local people can enjoy them in safety and comfort.

Like Manor Farm, they work closely with residents and communities and the priority has always been to put customers first. That has meant listening to what they have to say and changing the way things are done to meet their needs.

Everyone loved having the camera crew on site and hope the message is spread far and wide about just how good whg is.
