Local Centre Celebrates

The Rushall Community are celebrating the wonderful news that the Highfield South Trust has supported their local centre with a grant of £72378.10 towards their site improvement programme.

The Highfield South Trust was formed in 2008 to support environmental improvement projects in the area of Rushall, Shelfield and receives funding through Cory Environmental and the Landfill Communities Fund.  This is turn, is shared across worthy causes making a real difference to those who live in the area of benefit.

The community centre is a public amenity building located in Springfields, Rushall in Walsall and managed by Manor Farm Community Association, a local charity that has been providing services and activities for the people of Rushall and Walsall for over 35 years.

The facilities in Springfield were sadly lacking with very limited car parking, poor perimeter fencing to parts of the site and a ‘blank canvas’ of grassed area perfectly poised for enhancement as an ‘open space’ provision for recreation and leisure.

Thanks to the generous support of the Highfield South Trust Fund and Cory Environmental, they can now boast impressive improvements including a delightful landscaped garden area with seating and tables for the whole Rushall community to enjoy.

Everyone at the Rushall Centre send their heartfelt thanks to the Highfield South Trust and Cory Environmental for their generous support.
