ROYAL SEAL OF APPROVAL!

Manor Farm awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2018

This is the highest award possible for organisations of the voluntary sector and is equivalent to an individual MBE.

Chief Executive Gary Bird and Charity Manager Sue Evans were invited to a lavish garden party at Buckingham Palace attended by Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal family to acknowledge the valuable work we do in providing a wide range of community services and support for the people of Walsall.

Gary said, ‘Myself, the Charity trustees, and all the staff and volunteers of Manor Farm are tremendously honoured and immensely proud of this prestigious award and the recognition it brings to us and the people of Walsall.’

We will receive the Crystal Award at an official ceremony at the Birmingham Hippodrome on 21st October and can now proudly display the official Queen’s Award symbol.

Charity Manager Sue Evans thoroughly enjoyed the day, ‘Our day at the Queens Garden Party representing our fantastic team at Manor Farm will always be a wonderful special memory … a glorious day enjoying a lovely cuppa and cake at Buckingham Palace with the Queen!’

She paid tribute to the fantastic support the charity receives from a dedicated team of volunteers who she said the charity just couldn’t do what it does on a daily basis.

‘This makes me feel so proud to be a part of Manor Farm Community Association! Our volunteers really do make a positive difference to people’s lives.’
