Over 30 senior citizens enjoyed the perfect day out browsing the indoor and outdoor areas for all their gardening needs – with knowledgeable and helpful staff all on hand to offer advice to ensure our gardens grow well.

 

Along with more plants than ‘Gardener’s World,’ our coach party of green-fingered folk got the opportunity to explore the thousands of plants, shrubs and trees on offer, seek great gardening advice and with the wonderful home and garden gifts available they could shop-till-they-drop!

 

Hollybush has undergone many changes over the last few years, including the addition of a spacious Shopping Village with 16 independent shops offering a large variety of products and services from jewellery, cards and sweets to conservatories, fishing rods and tools.  There was even the chance to have their eyes and ears tested at the newly opened Optical and Hearing Centre!

 

Beautiful tropical, freshwater and marine fish were also on display alongside Koi ponds, landscape pools and magnificent water features.  With friendly staff knowledgeable in every aspect of gardening, aquatics, home and leisure it really was an enjoyable day out for everyone.

 

 

Everyone enjoyed a lovely lunch and the wonderful day was complete with door-to-door transport provided by the Silver Scheme volunteers who made sure everyone was safe, secure and satisfied with the super services on offer.
